The strike in education continues in the coming days, and the negotiations of the Independent Trade Union for Education, Science and Culture (SONK) with the Ministry of Education and Science (MES) continue. SONK members in schools and kindergartens have been on strike since Monday, demanding a pay rise.

The President of SONK Jakim Nedelkov stated that they expect to have an offer 12 h so that they can distribute it, collect feedback and eventually the SONK Council will make a decision and have time to announce that classes will continue from Monday, or, as he said, they will say that there is no solution and the Council will not be able to change the decision because the membership does not accept the offer and the strike will have to continue.

He urges for a solution to be reached as soon as possible and for the normal course to be restored in schools and kindergartens.
