A Swedish court has rejected the request of the Macedonian state authorities to extradite Dejan Davidovski, accused of being involved in the Parliament incident on April 27, 2017. Dejan Davidovski was arrested in Sweden in April this year upon an Interpol arrest warrant, Vecer news portal reported.

The decision on why the court in Sweden refuses to extradite Dejan Davidovski to Macedonia is explained in 18 points. The explanation states that Dejan Davidovski according to the Swedish court is prosecuted and should be tried in a political rather than a criminal process and that there is insufficient evidence of terrorism, and the final assessment is that there is no fair and legally established procedure in this case.

That is why the Swedish court recommends Dejan Davidovski to apply for asylum in order not to be a target for political persecution from Macedonia.
