During the Racket hearing today, the prosecution revealed a video tape of one of the racketeering defendants Zoran Mileski – Zoki Kiceec sitting with the brother of a powerful poitician from the ruling majority.

The video was half-concealed from the press which is following the trial and the prosecution refused to discuss if in more detail, but multiple media outlets have reported that there is a shocking new development in the trial. Republika will not reveal the name of the politician, or his brother, at the moment, except to use the brother’s initials – V.Z. The recording also included V.A., a lawyer who defended the powerful politician and is his business partner.

Prosecutor Vilma Ruskoska has steadfastly refused to charge any politicians in this portion of the Racket trial, other than the charge against Deputy Parliament Speaker Frosina Remenski in the secondary trial against the group. Ruskoska has refused to even speculate about the involvement of SDSM officilas in the racketeering which prompted the opposition to speculate that she is trying to cover up the easily available evidence. Normally Ruskoska comments on the recordings she is presenting and walks the court through the tapes, but in this instance, the tape was presented without any explanation.

The hearing was held to present surveillance tapes which showed the three defendants, Mileski, Bojan Jovanovski – Boki 13 and former Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva meeting together. The tapes show the group in various combinations and with various other people meeting in posh locales around Skopje. The tapes show that the police was following Boki 13 as he was driven from his luxury apartment at the outskirt of Skopje in a Range Rover to Janeva’s home or to meetings with Mileski.

Mileski was also recorded in expensive restaurants, hotels and also while visiting the OHIS chemical plant. During the presentation of the evidence, Boki’s defense objected that it doesn’t prove anything, while Boki himself was in such good spirits that the judge threatened to remove him if he won’t stop laughing.
