After more than twenty hours the Parliament interrupted this morning the debate on the draft law on resolving the dispute between the government and the “Makpetrol” oil company by way of an agreement, in a shortened procedure. The twentieth session on whose agenda is this draft law will be additionally scheduled.

This legal solution envisages the recognizing “Makpetrol” as the owner of 50% of the gas pipeline in the country and paying 33 million euros to the company for its share.

During the debate that lasted last night, the opposition MPs tried to prevent the adoption of this law by holding long speeches.

They believe the proposed legal solution to be one of a series of laws that kill justice and violate the basic principles of law.
