A massive crowd gathered for the VMRO-DPMNE rally in Stip, which is the final big rally of the campaign to elect Gordana Siljanovska – Davkova for President. The main Stip square was filled to capacity for Siljanvoska and VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski, who urged the voters to begin the removal of the Zoran Zaev led Government by electing Siljanovska as President. Siljanovska promised that as President, she will work to overturn the Prespa treaty, under which Zaev attempts to rename Macedonia into North Macedonia.

Treaties are important, but a treaty can’t be used to violate the Constitution. It can’t be contrary to the international law. A treaty is not the Bible or the Quran. Each nation has the right to self-determination and so does the Macedonian nation, Siljanovska said, adding that the imposed new name will never take root in Macedonia.

The presidential candidate said that she supports Macedonia’s entry into the European Union, but warned that the Zaev Government has no capacity to deliver on this and is lacking basic understanding of European values. She also called on the voters to support her as a check on the Zaev Government, which is showing autocratic tendencies and is abusing the judiciary to punish political opponents.

It is impossible to have a prosperous economy without the rule of law. We are facing corruption and crime as daily occurrences and we are seeing how the public administration is turned into a family affairs. These unseen levels of nepotism in the public sector hirings will need to be stopped, Siljanovska said.
