The war in Ukraine is a huge threat to European and world security and should stop immediately, and Russia should withdraw, said Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski in an interview with Slobodna TV, adding that the Macedonian government condemns Russia’s military attack on Ukraine.

Macedonia is a member of NATO and we make all decisions in accordance with the decisions of the alliance in a process in which we participate as a member. We are on the side of Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty and in the name of protecting those international values fully harmonized with the economic sanctions that the EU has imposed on Russia in order to prevent further escalation of this war, said Prime Minister Kovacevski.

He expressed concern about the escalation of Russia’s military aggression.

We see that the situation in Ukraine is getting worse and that is why I want to urge once again Russia to withdraw from the attack on Ukraine. Today there was a fire at a nuclear power plant, which fortunately was extinguished, but it only confirms how great is the threat to European and world security from such a reckless attack, said Prime Minister Kovacevski.
