Acting US Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia Philip Reeker will be meeting Macedonian oppositon leader Hristijan Mickoski this afternoon, in the VMRO-DPMNE offices in Skopje.
Earlier Reeker called on VMRO to support the proposed law that would make the office of the Special Prosecutor, the now disgraced Katica Janeva, a permanent feature.

VMRO supports the law in principle but rejected outright Prime Minister Zoran Zaev’s proposal to name another loyalist Vilma Ruskoska as the new Special Prosecutor, in light of the major corruption scandal that involves Janeva, but also the allegations of a cover-up leveled at Ruskoska.
