Maja Trpkovska, the mother of 27 year old Pineta Sekondo, who body was found after a search lasting months, is giving a statement to prosecutors today. Two people are suspected in Sekondo’s murder, a 22 year old girl named as Angela G., and a 27 year old man identified as Ali F. who likely fled the country.

Sekondo’s case raised fears across Macedonia for months, as his mother was begging for help to locate her missing son who disappeared in December.

The body was eventually found in May, buried near a village north of Skopje. It is believed that Angela was having an affair with both Pineta and Ali, which was probably the reason for the murder. Trpkovska claims that Angela lured her son outside of the city, toward an often lawless majority Albanian village, where he was killed and buried.
