Naim Alili from the village of Vaksince, who was arrested for migrant trafficking after 81 Middle Eastern migrants were found in his farmhouse, has been released by the Kumanovo police.

Alsat TV reports that the man remains a suspect, but that the police decided to let him go a few days after the arrest.

Vaksince is in an often lawless region on the border with Serbia, and as such is one of the main illegal transit routes for migrants going north along the Balkan route.
