Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski made an attempt to distance his SDSM party from disgraced prosecutor Katica Janeva yesterday, claiming that he had his reservations about her since early 2019. Orce Gorgievski from VMRO-DPMNE replied to Spasovski today, saying that SDSM relied on her in its power-grab and that it is now too late to throw her under the bus.

I had certain insights into Janeva and I criticized her, Spasovski said, listing actions on the part of the Special Prosecutor and how she detained and then released businessman Jordan Orce Kamcev, who was the primary victim of her extortion.

Gorgievski blamed the Interior Minister of desperately trying to blur the ties between SDSM and Janeva, whose openly partisan actions against VMRO-DPMNE officials cleared the way for SDSM to grab power in 2017.

Spasovski didn’t lift a finger to investigate these actions he now calls suspicious. No need to hurry and do so now, after the elections everything will be made clear – we’ll all find out why people were being detained and then released, and the public will learn all about the links between Zoran Zaev, the SDSM party and people in the judiciary, including the infamous Special Prosecutor’s Office. SDSM will not be helped even with all the money they extorted or their helpers who are now hired to work against VMRO-DPMNE, Gorgievski told the Interior Minister.
