From the very beginning of this pandemic, even before we had the first case, the central committee of VMRO-DPMNE presented its own measures, recommendations and urged the government, the Minister of Health and the commission to review some of those measures. First of all, we recommended that the same commission be relieved of politics, to include professionals, experts who will really contribute with their knowledge, with their credibility in order to successfully fight the pandemic, Marija Andonovska, member of the EC of VMRO-DPMNE said in an interview with TV 24.

Andonovska added that unfortunately the appeals of VMRO-DPMNE committee were ignored by the government.

She pointed out that the health committee of VMRO-DPMNE welcomes the changes that have occurred in the commission for infectious diseases, but they are not enough to get the effect that the state should get.

However, we will see if and in which direction this commission will act. We cannot say that these people who are now relatively new, have not had the opportunity to act so far. Even if they are new, they should start acting immediately, we do not have time to wait. They may be new to the commission, but the pandemic is not new. The measures and steps to be taken are also not new. Apart from the fact that VMRO-DPMNE and the central committee recommended departization, conditionally speaking, it also recommended a series of new concrete measures to this commission, which unfortunately I have to conclude that they were not taken into account, explained Andonovska.
