VMRO-DPMNE will not accept the population census in the form proposed by SDSM, VMRO-DPMNE’s leader Hristijan Mickoski said Tuesday on TV24’s “Otvoreno” show.

It has many inconsistencies that do not match the views and demands of VMRO-DPMNE. It must be postponed. We, as VMRO-DPMNE, have about 28 interventions in developing the census model that have been submitted to the SDSM negotiating team regarding the census. Of the 28 interventions submitted, three or five were accepted which are less substantial, and most of the substantive requests or interventions were rejected, Mickoski said.

He added that according to all Eurostat recommendations, it is recommended that the census take place in the first year of the new decade, and not as practiced in our country at the end of the decade.
