Analysts believe the early parliamentary elections in April will be conducted according to the existing electoral model, as there is insufficient time to introduce a single constituency. The announcements of its introduction are more political marketing and maneuvering than trying to motivate indecisive voters and increase turnout, experts say.

According to analyst Vladimir Bozinovski, the four-month period is too short to change the voting model, which could further complicate the process. According to him, the introduction of one constituency will not greatly affect the number of voters and believes that the turnout in the upcoming elections will be over 60%.

Ljupco Petkovski of Eurothink believes that the April elections will go with the existing electoral model, primarily because of the fact that it change will not suit the major parties of the Macedonian and Albanian blocs.

Petkovski and Bozinovski agree that the eventual introduction of one constituency also has to set a electoral threshold of between 2 and 3 percent.
