The President of the Independent Trade Union for Education, Science and Culture (SONK) Jakim Nedelkov today will hold a press conference where the necessary information will be presented immediately before the announced strike in kindergartens, primary and secondary schools.

SONK announced a general strike for tomorrow, because at last week’s meetings with the Government they did not agree to meet their request for an increase in salaries in the education sector by 18.4 percent.

This request is in order to align the wages in education with the increase of the minimum wage in the country from 15,199 to 18,000 denars, which has already entered into force.
