Opposition leader Hristijan Mickoski, who was first to denounce Prime Minister Zoran Zaev for his shocking interview with BGNES, followed up with a social media post calling on Zaev to explain who killed the Macedonian partisan fighters in World War Two.

Zoran Zaev should publicly explain who was it that killed Straso Pindzur, Mirce Acev, Kuzman Josifovski – Pitu, Hristijan Todorovski – Karpos, Orce Nikolov, Rade Jovcevski – Korcagin, Vera Jocic.. Was it the liberators or the occupiers, Mickoski asked.

Zaev declared the Bulgarian occupation of Macedonia in the Second World War to be “administration” and then lauded Bulgaria for its reversal in the final months of the war, when it sided with victorious allies, calling them liberators of some Macedonian cities.
