VMRO-DPMNE President Hristijan Mickoski appealed to the voters to use the last remaining minutes and come out in large numbers in support of the opposition presidential candidate Gordana Siljanovska – Davkova.

Some on the conservative right, angry at the imposed name change, were calling for a boycott and anulling the elections by keeping the turnout below 40 percent. But with the latest numbers from the State Electoral Commission indicating that the turnout will slightly surpass 40 percent, this tactic, which helped undermine the 2018 referendum to rename Macedonia, appears unsuccessful.

Now is the moment to be loud, to show your point of view, and to punish those who underestimate, pressure and manipulate you. Come out and vote for Macedonia, our homeland, for your dearest and for a joint future together. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to speak your minds. We are inches away from our victory, let’s cross them together, Mickoski wrote on his Facebook account.
