The revision is merely a political agreement and will not bring anything new to the “Monster” case. This is the position of the victims in the case of the five murders at Smilkovski Lake. Rade Slavkovski, the father of the murdered Filip, and Goran Nakjevski, the father of the murdered Aleksandar, share the same view, that politics should not interfere in the judiciary. In an interview with MKD.mk, they say that with this, after almost 10 years, the pain for the loss of their children is opened again.

Slavkovski says that politicians cannot be judges and that the political agreement between Zaev and Gashi is an unfair move towards them.

The revision will not bring anything new, it only fuels the suspicion that politics is interfering in the judiciary, and that should not be the case. Probably this agreement is to make a Government and our case is used for that. The Prime Minister Zoran Zaev probably gives everything he will be asked and that is not fair to us as victims. With this move, they proved that politics interferes in the judiciary. Zaev cannot be a judge and play with our children. We are shocked by what is happening, our emotions come back to us. It is terrible and difficult not to solve this case for 10 years. We reconciled with the fact that the sentences of some of the defendants were reduced. We have been overwhelmed by courts for 10 years, it is a shame. The agreement they made with us is an additional trauma, Slavkovski told MKD.mk.
