The appointment of ambassadors to some of the vacant posts is still under discussion between the foreign ministry, the president and other key state institutions, Prime Minister Zoran Zaev said Friday, answering a journalist question about whether his foreign policy adviser Dane Taleski will be the new ambassador to the NATO mission.

He declined to give names, but said he expects to receive information from the authorities on certain names next week.

I do not want to speculate on names beforehand, because you are referring to my foreign policy adviser working on the NATO and EU agendas, on the Agreements with Bulgaria and Greece. I do not know if he wants or not, whether he accepted or not, whether it was discussed. I would rush if I said any name, we will announce decisions in a timely manner, said the prime minister, inspecting the start of construction work on the road from Butel to Ljuboten.

Taleski is mentioned as a possible candidate for NATO ambassador, and the prime minister did not want to talk about the possible candidates for ambassadors positions in Washington, NATO, Tel Aviv and Sofia, but stressed that the NATO ambassador post was a priority.
