Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that he spoke on the phone with Zoran Zaev and Edi Rama, in anticipation of what he said will be an important meeting in Ohrid on November 9th, to discuss the Mini – Schengen project.

This idea, to further enhance the cooperation between Macedonia, Albania, Serbia and other non – EU member states in the region, is seen as a “participation trophy” after the countries faced a French veto to joining the EU.

It will be a second such meeting in a short period of time, after Vucic welcomed Zaev and Rama in Novi Sad recently, even before the French veto was made official.

Vucic also said that he discussed the Mini – Schnegen idea with US envoy Matthew Palmer, who supported it.
