Bulgaria will not say YES to Macedonia until it sees guarantees in the negotiating framework that Skopje will officially fulfill all points of the Good Neighborhood Agreement, Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva, answering questions in a TV interview.

Zaharieva accused that after Macedonia became a member of NATO, it was not committed at all to fulfilling the points of the Good Neighborhood Agreement. She even accused that the work of the joint commission was deliberately delayed.

The Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister even said that they will not succumb to any pressure and will not give up national interests.

If we see guarantees in the negotiating framework, Bulgaria is always ready to say YES. But not under pressure. They hope for pressure, among other things, in my opinion, Mr. Vasilev. They really hope that someone, I do not know who, Washington, Berlin, will order, will come and scold Bulgaria and Bulgaria will forget the national interest and say YES without them doing anything, Zaharieva said.

Although the whole world got the impression that Bulgaria wants to change the Macedonian identity and the Macedonian language, about which she was asked by the host of the show, Zaharieva says that all this was invented and started in Skopje as fake news and misinformation.
