Political prisoner Jane Cento finished the third year in prison, since the mass arrests of opposition activists in late 2017. The great-grandson of Macedonia’s first President Metodija Andonov – Cento is sentenced to 15 years in prison for “terrorism”, because he took part in the April 27 incident in the Parliament.

Three years behind bars and I still tell them, feel free continue to blackmail me, I’m not afraid of you. I was sentenced in a fabricated trial worthy of the best days of the UDBA secret police, with a fake witness. A trial whose goal was to change the constitutional name of Macedonia and to intimidate anyone who will even think of standing in their path, Cento said in his statement.

Metodija Andonov – Cento was also victim of a politically staged trial after he would not agree to the subjugation of Macedonia within Yugoslavia.
