Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said that the Bulgarian registered lorry which was found in Britain carrying 39 dead illegal immigrants, has not entered Bulgaria since 2017.

This, according to Borisov, means that the migrants did not board in Bulgaria. The truck arrived in Britain via a Belgian ferry.

The vehicle was registered in the Bulgarian port city of Varna by a female Irish citizen, and it was operated by a man from Northern Ireland when the bodies were found today in Grays in Essex. It’s likely that the immigrants suffocated inside the truck. The bodies are still being identified.
