The Donald Trump election team is announcing legal challenges after polling stations in a number of key battleground states began returning near exclusively Biden votes.

Trump already accused the Democratic Party of trying to rig the elections in districts in Michigan and Pennsylvania which have been under long Democratic control, after the reporting of votes was surprisingly suspended on Tuesday evening.

There was a large number of secretly dumped ballots as has been widely reported, Trump said in a tweet which the Twitter network is trying to suppress.

An unprecedented chunk of the electorate voted by mail, or early, and these numbers were expected to favor Biden in comparison to the votes cast on election day, but not by the margins that are now appearing.

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who is a close Trump confidant, said that he will launch legal challenges in Pennsylvania where the Republican Party claims major election irregularities are taking place.

Meanwhile, protests are taking place in New York, Portland, and other US cities which have seen full scale riots over the past months aimed against President Trump. Democratic supporters and Black Lives Matter activists were burning flags and chanting “No USA” in some rallies. In Chicago, they descended on the Trump Tower, which is a symbol for the protesters. So far, with the outcome still unclear, there are no major confrontations between the BLM protesters and groups supporting Trump, but there is a clear feeling of unease in the air.
