Seventh patient died of the West Nile fever

A sixty-nine-year-old citizen of Skopje from the municipality of Gazi Baba is the seventh victim of the West Nile fever.

Healthcare Minister Saso Klekovski informed today that the deceased patient had prior health issues and was hospitalized for more than 38 days, the longest of all the other victims of the illness. Regarding new cases, Klekovski informed that in these three days there has been one new suspected case, and the person is from Radisani.

Since the weekend, all new cases have been from the north of Skopje. Discussions have been held with the mayors there to pay attention to the measures, Klekovski emphasized, as the municipalities are spraying against mosquitos. A total of 19 people have been hospitalized as a result of West Nile fever.
