Pensions will go up by three percent in September, according to their alignment with the average salary.
The average salary in July grew by 6.4 percent compared to July 2025, and amounted to 48,381 denars, and the average salary for the first half of 2026 was 4.75 percent higher than the same period last year. This means that the pensions will grow by 2.38 percent, and to that will be added 0.58 percent for cost of living increases.
The lower range of pensions will grow by about 500 to 700 denars (about 10 EUR) while the higher pensions will go up by 900 to 1,500 denars. There were a total of 350,671 retirees registered in June and the average pension was 28,103 denars.
