Salaries and pensions grew much more under the VMRO than under the SDSM government

Economic results are best measured through concrete numbers, and the numbers clearly show that with the VMRO-DPMNE-led government, salaries and pensions are growing significantly faster, which directly contributes to improving the standard of living and greater economic security for citizens.

If we make a direct comparison with the period of rule of SDS and DUI, the difference is obvious. When SDS came to power, in June 2017, the average salary was around 22,800 denars, and by the time it remained in power, in May 2024, it had reached 41,250 denars, which means that over a period of seven years, the average salary increased by more than 18,400 denars, or an average monthly growth of around 220 denars, said VMRO-DPMNE in a statement.

In contrast, in July 2024, when the VMRO-DPMNE-led government took office, the average salary was around 40,900 denars, while in May 2026 it reached over 49,500 denars, which represents an increase of around 8,600 denars in just 23 months, or an average monthly growth of over 370 denars, VMRO-DPMNE says.

The party adds that the difference is even clearer in pensions. In June 2017, the average old-age pension was less than 15,300 denars, and in May 2024 it reached over 22,900 denars, which means that in seven years it has increased by almost 7,700 denars, or around 90 denars.

In July 2024, the average old-age pension was around 22,850 denars, while in May 2026 it reached over 29,700 denars, which, according to VMRO-DPMNE, represents an increase of more than 6,800 denars in 23 months, or about 300 denars per month or 325%.

These figures are proof that economic policies produce concrete results and citizens can directly feel them in their family budgets. The difference between the two policies is clear, while the previous government did nothing, and had years at its disposal to improve the living standards of citizens, the Government led by VMRO-DPMNE has managed to ensure stronger income growth and create conditions for a higher standard of living in a significantly shorter period, the party says.

VMRO-DPMNE adds that the Government continues with policies aimed at higher salaries and pensions, attracting new investments, creating jobs and creating a stronger and more competitive economy.
