A total of 31 fires have been registered in open areas early on Friday, of which four are active, three are under control, and 24 have been extinguished, the CUK Crisis Management Center announced.
Active fires are raging in the Municipality of Saraj: village Kopanica (low vegetation); in the municipalities of Gostivar and Makedonski Brod: village Trnovo (Municipality of Gostivar) towards the villages of Bitovo, Zagrad and Strajane (Municipality of Makedonski Brod) (low-growing forest, low vegetation, pastures and fern); in the Municipality of Caska: above the village of Nežilovo, m.v. Svatovi (low vegetation and spruces) and in the Municipality of Jegunovce: village Kopance (mixed forest).
Fires that are under control are located in: the Municipality of Delčevo: landfill (garbage); in the municipalities of Studenićani and Zelenikovo: village Morane – village Vrtekica – village Ramni Gaber and the branch towards the village Paligrad, above the village of Vrazhale and the village of Tisovica – Municipality of Zelenikovo (mixed forest) and in the Municipality of Plasnica: village of Dvorci (landfill).
