A 70-year-old driver from Gostivar died after his truck veered off the roadway on the Adriatic Highway in Skopje. Subsequent examinations determined that he died of natural causes.
On October 16, 2026, at approximately 08:00, the SIA (Sector for Internal Affairs) Skopje received a report that a MAN truck with a trailer—registered in Gostivar—had veered off the roadway on the Adriatic Highway overpass and struck the metal guardrail. Following the incident, the driver, G.A. (70) from Gostivar, was transported to the “8th of September” City General Hospital, where a physician pronounced him dead.
A public prosecutor was notified, and upon their instruction, the body was transferred to the Institute of Forensic Medicine, where it was determined that death resulted from natural causes. An investigative team from SIA Skopje conducted an on-site inspection.
