Nikoloski: once we complete Corridors 8 and 10, Macedonia’s survival will no longer be an issue”

“Once we fully complete Corridors 8 and 10, the question of Macedonia’s survival will no longer arise. That is how I view it, and that is how the Government views it; it is no coincidence that in 2024, upon the formation of this Government, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski established this as the administration’s primary policy,” stated Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski in a recent interview with “360 Stepeni,” discussing the significance of these two projects for Macedonia.

“Once we have two functional corridors—one being the most economically attractive corridor in Europe, and the other the second most vital security corridor for NATO—no one will ever again call into question the fate or existence of Macedonia,” Nikoloski said. “I do not believe I am exaggerating,” he added.

“If the prime ministers of two neighboring countries could stage that spectacle involving the remains—purportedly belonging to Tsar Samuil—then we, for our part, must act with the utmost responsibility toward the state and its survival. I believe this is one of the ways to guarantee the state’s continued existence,” Nikoloski emphasized.
