It is not important whether the Interior Minister is satisfied or not with any decision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, what is important is whether the citizens will ultimately see justice in this Sisyphean battle, said Minister Pance Toskovski, when asked for a comment on the decision of the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office to continue the proceedings in the massive oil scandal. Organized Crime Prosecutor Islam Abazi attempted to sabotage the investigation into the scandal worth over 160 million EUR, that implicated top DUI and SDSM party officials – Abazi himself is close to the DUI party. But the move by the Higher Office is expected to resume the investigation into the scandal.
Toskovski expressed hope that the Public Prosecutor’s Office “will gather courage and professionally devote itself to all the details related not only to this case but to all the others as well”.
This is all in order that we, ultimately, see the bright light at the end of the tunnel, and that we see the justice that we all desire, said Toskovski, who today greeted the students admitted to the Secondary Police School “7 May” on the occasion of the beginning of their education.
Toskovski indicated that the information shared with him, related to the case in question, “will shock the public when it is shared.”
I have said before that in accordance with what was shared with me as information by those who worked intensively on this case – investigators, who are part of the Interior Ministry but familiar with the work within the Office for Organized Crime, and some of them familiar with the work within the Ministry of Interior in the Organized Crime Department – the information that was shared with me, related to the case in question, I am truly certain will shock the public when it is shared with the public. That is all I will say and I will leave the investigation to speak its mind in public further, stated Toshkovski.
