Bilal Kasami, one of the leaders of the VLEN party, said that he leads in the mayoral race in Tetovo with 2,500 votes ahead of the DUI candidate Bajram Rexhepi, with 12,780 votes against 10,300.
The results indicate that there will need to be a run-off in Tetovo in two weeks time. VMRO did not nominate a candidate there and urged their voters to support Kasami, but Levica ran a candidate, trying to capitalize on the Macedonian vote.
