The Regulatory Energy Commission (RKE) adopted a decision reducing the retail prices of diesel, driven by the decision of the Government to reduce the VAT tax rate on this type of fuel.
Compared to the previous calculation, reference prices for petroleum products on the global market show the following average changes: gasoline prices increased by 0.049%, while diesel prices decreased by 6.734%, extra-light household oil prices decreased by 4.936%, and fuel oil prices decreased by 1.630%. The exchange rate of the denar against the dollar—used to set prices in the previous calculation—has risen by 0.9522%, RKE announced.
The decision incorporates the government’s ruling to reduce the VAT rate on EURODIESEL fuel to 10% and applies a reduced excise duty of 4.00 MKD/liter for EUROSUPER BS-95 and EUROSUPER BS-98 gasoline and for EURODIESEL (D-E V). As of 00:01 on September 29, 2026, the maximum prices for petroleum products will be:
EUROSUPER BS-95 motor gasoline: 100.00 (denars/liter)
EUROSUPER BS-98 motor gasoline: 102.00 (denars/liter)
EURODIESEL BS (D-E V) diesel fuel: 100.00 (denars/liter)
Extra Light 1 (EL-1) heating oil: 111.50 (denars/liter)
