The Ministry of Internal Affairs informs the public that, starting Monday (October 12, 2026), the “Safe City” traffic surveillance system will begin operations in the area covered by the Ohrid Department of Internal Affairs.
Following technical checks and final testing, the system’s cameras will be activated on roadways within the SVR Ohrid jurisdiction. The Ministry states that the system’s activation will enable enhanced and continuous traffic monitoring, the timely detection of traffic violations, improved traffic discipline, and greater road safety.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs urges all drivers to strictly observe traffic rules and regulations and to contribute to improved traffic safety through responsible behavior.
