There are significant differences in the approval ratings of VMRO-DPMNE and SDSM, as well as their leaders Hristijan Mickoski and Venko Filipche, according to the latest poll by MKD.mk, conducted by the agency Market Vision between September 11 and 27 with a sample of 1,200 respondents. When asked which political party they would vote for in the upcoming elections, 19.3 percent answered that they would vote for VMRO-DPMNE, 5.6 percent for SDSM, while the ratings for DUI and Vlen were tied at 4.2%.
41 percent of respondents stated that they would not vote, did not know whether they would vote, or did not wish to answer the question. Among respondents who have decided on a specific political party, 4 percent said they would vote for Levica, and 1 percent for ZNAM. Regarding party leaders, Hristijan Mickoski (president of VMRO-DPMNE) holds a significant lead in public trust (20.4%) over Venko Filipche (president of SDSM, at 3.8%).
As many as 44.1% of respondents do not trust any political party leader, while 12.5% declined to answer the question. Trust levels stood at 3.7% for Ali Ahmeti, 3.4% for Dimitar Apasiev, and 2.6% for Izet Mexhiti. The leaders of the new political party Vlen—Izet Mexhiti, Bilall Kasami, and Afrim Gashi—hold an advantage over the leader of the opposition party DUI.
A poll conducted in June also showed a commanding lead for VMRO-DPMNE and Mickoski over… …the opposition SDSM. The survey was conducted using the CATI method—telephone interviewing of a sample of 1,200 respondents (statistical margin of error: 3%; confidence interval: 95%). The sample is representative at the national level regarding region, gender, age, and ethnicity, based on 2021 census data on the resident population.
