In the second round of the elections in Brvenica, VMRO-DPMNE holds an 800-vote lead over the coalition’s candidate. “Unfortunately, there are still politicians in Macedonia living in the last century—politicians who seek the support of citizens even as we discuss artificial intelligence,” Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski stated today, commenting on calls for voters to cast their ballots based on ethnicity in the second round of the mayoral election in Brvenica.
He added that VMRO-DPMNE is seeking the support of the residents of the Municipality of Brvenica. “I am confident that our candidate will win the second round; this will serve as further proof that these forces, which belong to the last century, will remain in the last century.”
“The candidate from the coalition led by VMRO-DPMNE won the snap local elections in Brvenica by a convincing margin—elections held, unfortunately, due to the untimely passing of our Jovica, who was the most successful mayor in the history of that municipality. He left behind significant achievements and projects currently underway. He never divided the residents of the Municipality of Brvenica based on their ethnicity—whether Macedonian, Albanian, or otherwise; that was irrelevant to him.” “He worked for everyone—he worked for Brvenica and Sedlarce, but he also worked for Chelopek, Tenovo, and Gurgurnica,” stated Mickoski.
