Restored Gevgelija bazaar opened to the public

The restored old bazaar in Gevgelija, a project that was implemented with funds from the Culture Ministry, was officially put into use today. The event was attended by the Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, Deputy Prime Minister and Transportation Minister Aleksandar Nikoloski, Culture Minister Sedat Sulejmani, Gevgelija Mayor Andon Saramandov and other officials.

With the project, the bazaar area received a ground-level arrangement and facades of the shops, as well as horticultural arrangement and installation of new lighting. Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski emphasized that as a Government, they support municipalities throughout the country.

So far, we have allocated about half a billion EUR for local projects. More than 1,200 projects have been completed, are being completed, are being started, so I expect this project to be completed by the end of the year, with the decentralized funds from the central budget to the municipalities, and next year we will start thinking about new funds that we will allocate to the municipalities for the realization of capital investments that aim to improve the quality of life of citizens, said Mickoski.
