Albania and Macedonia will lead the Balkans in terms of economic growth in 2026, estimates the European Commission.
The report estimates that the Macedonian economy will grow by 3.2 percent, and Albania will be slightly above – at 3.3 percent. Serbia will grow its economy by 2.8 percent and Bosnia – by just 1.8 percent.
As for 2027, the report estimates that Serbia will pull ahead with 3.9 percent growth – attributed to the massive spending for the Expo 2027.
