Enrollment begins in Macedonia’s main public university

At the public university Sts. Cyril and Methodius (UKIM) in Skopje, the enrollment process began today. At its 23 faculties, a total of 8,851 places are available for first year.

Of the total number of places available, 4,395 are for students in the public quota (full-time students who are financed from the state budget), 3,621 for full-time students who will pay tuition fees, and 835 for part-time students.

The largest number of students in various study programs will be admitted to the Faculty of Medicine (950), the FINKI IT faculty (800), the Electro-Technical an dand Mechanical Engineering Faculties with 600 students each, the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (626), the Faculty of Economics – 655, the Faculty of Law – 555, the Faculty of Philosophy – 635 and the Faculty of Philology – 805.

Students in the public quota enroll by paying a fee in the amount of 200 EUR, and students in the co-financing quota and part-time students need to pay a tuition of 400 euros.
