Filipce now says SDSM is ready for elections

We are ready for elections. Even if they are held as early as tomorrow – we are ready – both with our team and our program, with the master plan for Macedonia and the contract with the citizens, which I will present during September – said the president of SDSM, Venko Filipce, answering a journalist’s question at today’s press conference. Previously, after VMRO-DPMNE leader and Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski hinted at the possibility of early elections, Filipce sounded a negative tone, that made his part look afraid of taking part.

We have six points – clearly, well-defined, and the citizens will know what they will vote for whenever the next elections are held. All the most important aspects regarding the future of the state, regarding the strengthening of the system, the well-being of citizens in our welfare state, which is now set aside – will be clearly and loudly written and explained. And we are ready for elections whenever they are, but we will not be an alibi to hold elections. Hristijan Mickoski has two-thirds in the Parliament, absolute power. He can call elections whenever he wants, Filipce said answering a journalist’s question.

According to him, the Government will call for early elections “when it no longer has money, and money is running out fast”.
There will be elections and we will face them at any time – whether they will be this year or in two years. The elections will be held and then the citizens will have to decide between this unnatural, corrupt and criminal government and our good policies. Against this government, which is only interested in itself, wants to buy planes, spend public money – and we, who propose an increase in salaries, an increase in subsidies in agriculture. Everything that this government has been refusing for the past 2.5 years, since the beginning of its rule, added Filipche.
