Macedonian tourist in the Maldives came back with the Zika virus

A Macedonian citizen contracted the Zika virus while vacationing in the Maldives. This is the first confirmed case in Macedonia.

The person was in the Maldives in late May and reported mosquito bites. He developed body aches and a slight fever, followed by rash. He is not hospitalized and is in good overall condition. The risk of spread is considered low, said the Institute for public health.
