A major fire broke out today at noon between the villages of Banica and Vodoca near Strumica, and it has partially been put under control. Houses in the area were not endangered, and one object was affected, but did not burn down, said local fire chief Aleksandar Gudev.
Gudev added that residents of the Sofilar area were evacuated as a precaution. Firefighters from Radovis, Gevgelija and Valandovo were also asked to help out.
