SDSM leader Venko Filipce threatened to pull his representatives from the talks on the electoral code if the Parliament ends the model of having a technical Government 100 days before general elections. The ruling majority plans to end this model after the next elections – meaning that SDSM will have its participants included in a technical Government in the next general elections, but after that the changes will go into effect.
Prime Minister Mickoski confirmed that he will resign 100 days before the next elections and a technical Prime Minister will be appointed, while SDSM will have its officials included in the provided five ministries.
If SDSM is so strong and prepared to win in the next elections, then they will form the next Government, VMRO-DPMNE would go into opposition and we would not have the technical Government model to help us in the elections after that. So I don’t understand the SDSM arguments against this change, said Mickoski.
