Filipche and SDS are trying to find consolation in a fourth-place finish, states a press release from VMRO-DPMNE, adding that “under Filipche, SDS has been reduced to a 5% approval rating and is celebrating a 4-to-1 defeat by VMRO-DPMNE in the local elections in Brvenica.”
Under Filipche’s leadership, SDS has suffered a political debacle. With Filipche at the helm, SDS has fallen to fourth place in Kumanovo and Brvenica, and fifth in Skopje. The figures and facts best illustrate the current state of SDS; led by Filipche, the party has become one devoid of political vision, lacking a compelling platform, and incapable of establishing itself as a credible alternative in the eyes of the citizens. Under the mentorship of Zaev, Filipche has transformed SDS into a party that celebrates its own defeats. “We wish Filipche and SDS many more such ‘successes’—fourth and fifth-place finishes, the celebration of defeats, and ever-dwindling support from the citizens,” says VMRO-DPMNE.
