Russia declared a unilateral Easter truce in its war against Ukraine. President Putin said that the ceasefire will be in effect until tomorrow at midnight, and urged Ukraine to follow suit.
Early reports are that the frontlines are quieter than usual. The move comes at a time when the US warned that, unless the two parties come to an agreement for ceasefire soon, it may withdraw from its mediating role.
