Heatwave followed by a summer storm

Macedonia today was pressed by a heatwave with temperatures rising over 40 degrees. Macedonia saw temperatures comparable to the Turkish southern coast and parts of Spain and Greece.

The capital Skopje saw 41.7 degrees, followed by an early afternoon rainstorm and strong winds. Western and central parts of Macedonia were all affected by the storm.
