The Financial Police and state prosecutors raided sites in Lipkovo and Kumanovo, detaining eight persons. A total of 13 individuals and 10 companies are suspected in a scheme that included tax evasion and fraud over oil sales.
The group was selling oil for cash and sought tax reimbursement using fake invoices. The extent of the damage done to the state budget is estimated at 7 million EUR.
