Preliminary results from the second round of the local elections show that VMRO-DPMNE mayoral candidate in Skopje Orce Gjorgjievski has an almost 3:1 lead over his opponent Amar Mecinovic from Levica.
Gjorgjievski, who dominated the first round as well, has 14,437 votes, against 5,877 for Mecinovic. Gjorgjievski won over 90,000 votes in the first round, against 30,000 for Mecinovic, who is hoping that votes from SDSM and DUI will help boost his final result.
