Macedonians today marked Good Friday, the day of Christ’s crucifixion.
The faithful of the Macedonian Orthodox Church mark the day with strict fasting and lament the sacrifice on the cross. No work is being done, at home or in the fields.
Families also use the day to paint brightly colored eggs, that are going to be used on Easter, to mark the resurrection by breaking them.
