City of Skopje crews are working hard on cleaning up the old Vardariste dump site, that will be transformed into a park, said Mayor Orce Gjorgjievski. The site was frequently on fire last summer, and the crews are currently focused on removing the bottled up deposits of methane in the ground.
Drilling is conducted quickly and we are about to permanently resolve this decades old problem for the city, said Gjorgjievski who shared a video of the work being done on the ground.
