The Mayor of Zelenikovo helped save houses from a fire

Skopje firefighters had to intervene urgently this night, to protect homes near the village of Zelenikovo, east of Skopje. A strong fire spread toward the first line of houses in the village. Mayor Kosta Manevski himself took the municipal fire-truck and helped protect the houses until reinforcements from Skopje and local volunteers arrived.

The firefighters were forced to drench the vegetation around the first houses in the village to stop the fire from spreading.
